What’s more peaceful than walking on a fern-lined path between the legs of old-growth trees with sunlight filtering through the canopy? The roots of these two in the foreground are anchored in an old stump—a nurse stump, a park ranger called it way back when we attended a nature program at one of the provincial parks.
