Thursday Challenge – YOUNG (2)
A year ago I got an orchid as a gift. It was gorgeous and I enjoyed every minute of its blooming. In summer it even put out a second set of blossoms.
Then fall came along and all action ceased. The plant looked dead.
I cut off its gangly stem, kept it in the north window, moist but not too wet and hoped that I’d see life again.
A few weeks ago, it sent out a shoot from the piece of stem that was left. Yaay! Every day I’ve watched the changes. It’s now working on the beginnings of four to six orchids.
Today my orchid’s largest bud is my photo for YOUNG.
This post is linked to Thursday Challenge, where you’ll find links to more photographic interpretations of YOUNG (second week).
Next Week the challenge is: WARM (Sunny, Pleasant, Warm Colors, Food, Drink,…)
